Reverend Brandon D. Walker is a pastor with the God-given mission to provide ministry for every stage of life and to bring balance to the body of Christ.
Pastor Walker was educated in the Jonesboro, Arkansas Public School system and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management from Arkansas State University in 2000. He was employed at Arkansas State University as the Assistant to the Dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics from 2001 to 2010. He is currently enrolled in Harding University where he is pursuing a Masters of Ministry degree and is expected to graduate in May, 2013.
Reverend Walker accepted the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 20 and was licensed as a minister of the Gospel in December 1998. He was ordained in February 2002. Since that time he has pastored three churches.
In 2001, he accepted the call to pastor the First Baptist Church of Wynne, Arkansas where he served for four years. Under his administration, the church experienced significant growth, including adding over seventy persons to the church membership. During this time period he served as Assistant Minister at the Greater First Baptist Church of Memphis under the leadership of Reverend Daniel Gladney and Trinity All Nations Church of Memphis under the leadership of Reverend Theodis Cochran.
In December 2005, Pastor Walker accepted the call to pastor the Saint John Missionary Baptist Church of Jonesboro, Arkansas as the youngest pastor in the church’s history. During his tenure from 2005 to 2011, the church experienced substantial growth in every area of ministry, resulting in over 600 decisions for Christ during that time period.
In the fall of 2011, Pastor Walker moved to his current position serving as pastor at the New Shelby Missionary Baptist Church of Collierville, Tennessee. In November, he also accepted the position of director of Clergy United for the Memphis Schools, a project of the national organization, Shepherding the Next Generation.
Reverend Walker is the proud father of two wonderful daughters, Caradine (9) and Caeden (7).
