Throughout the Bible, when God’s people cry out for someone to meet their needs and deliver them from oppression, God sends a shepherd.
Today, millions of American children are growing up in family situations that put them at high risk for long-term poverty, delinquency, addiction and exploitation. These children are in our churches, our schools and our communities.
Shepherding the Next Generation is a network of shepherd advocates – pastors and ministry leaders who believe our responsibility to “defend the cause of the weak and fatherless, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed” (Psalm 82:3) compels us to address the policies and structures that trap these children and families in an unnecessary cycle of risk.
Will you stand with us and add your voice to our chorus of pastors, ministry leaders, lay leaders and concerned Christians? Will you come alongside us with financial support as we take up our staff and “Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:8-9)?
We need your support; America’s families and children need your support. Biblical giving is first and foremost an act of obedience…doing what God requires of us. God uses that obedience to transform the giver, the organization and those served together.
