History

Shepherding the Next Generation was started in 2008 and is facilitated by an established sibling organization called Fight Crime: Invest in Kids.  This 15-year-old, non-partisan, non-profit group is composed of over 5,000 state attorneys general, sheriffs, prosecutors, police chiefs, and crime survivors from across the nation who know that the most effective long-term strategy to reduce crime and improve communities is to get kids started on the right track so they will be less likely to become criminals in the first place.

Fight Crime: Invest in Kids’ parent organization is supporting Shepherding the Next Generation because they know that the strong voice of the faith community will aid their efforts to strengthen children, families, and communities.
